• Open your Presence box and remove the different components of your Display; the Screen, Round Base, Straight Leg, and two screws in addition to the Hex Key.
  
• Use the Setup Guide to assemble your Presence by screwing the Straight Leg to the Round Base, sliding down the Screen onto the top of the Straight Leg and then screwing it together.
  
• If the screen protector is still on, please pull off to reveal the matte glass screen.
  
• Once your Presence is assembled, please plug it into power using the provided woven cable and AC adapter.
  
• The Display will light up with the Presence logo and then will transition to a QR Code Setup Screen. Scan the QR Code to take you to the Welcome Webpage. From here you tap “Download The App” to create your Presence account.
  
• Download the Presence App from the App Store
  
• Set up your account with your email and password and then your first and last name.
  
• Now you will connect your Inspiration Display to the internet. Tap to allow for Bluetooth and tap to begin the Connection process.
  
• You will then enter the Connecting Mode. It should take under sixty seconds to display your available WiFi Networks (may take up to three minutes). Choose your network and enter the password (password is case sensitive). Tap the button to move forward.
  
• The Connecting To Your Presence screen should take between sixty and ninety seconds (but may take up to three minutes). The Display will read “Connecting Your Presence...” and then you will receive a success message on the Display and in the app once its successfully connected to your WiFi Network.
  
• You’re now ready to fully use the app and Presence experience! Press play on your first Raylist and navigate between the screens to learn more through the tooltips.
  
• You can explore the curated categories within Search, search for something specific or check out the recommendations we have for you on Home.
  
• Enjoy the experience of daily inspiration with Presence!
  

If you’re having trouble connecting to your WiFi Network, there’s a handful of things we can try:

• Unplug the Inspiration Display from power and plug it back in, and quit out of the mobile app and open it back up. When the display is on the QR Code screen, try reconnecting again.
• We can perform a hard reset on your Inspiration Display. Hold down the bottom most button on the back (the bottom of the tall button) for 15 seconds until the Presence logo appears again on the display. Wait for the display to reboot and once on the QR Code screen again try reconnecting.
• If neither of these do the trick, try deleting the app and redownloading it, in combination with a hard reset. Once the display is back on the QR Code screen and the app is reinstalled, try the Connection process.
• Reach out to us at help@discoverpresence.co with your Serial # (it’s found on the back of your Inspiration Display, on the bottom of the box and within the Manage Displays section of Settings within the app. Ex: P1DN22JGM03900). If you could also take a video, photo or screen recording of the issue that will allow us to solve the issue much faster.

The Top circular button allows you to turn the display’s backlight on and off. It does not power on and off your display, please unplug your display to do that.

The tall bottom button allows you to manually move between the Rays currently raying on your display. Moving back and forth through a Raylist will also update the app so they’re always in sync.

Ray Speed: You can adjust the speed of how frequently you receive Rays. On Home, tap Settings in the top right, tap Manage Displays, tap your Display, tap Ray Speed and then you will be able to adjust the slider. “Least often” changes the Ray every sixteen hours, “slower” every eight hours, “normal” every three hours, “faster” every one hour and most often every twenty minutes.

Favorites: Save your favorite Rays & Raylists by tapping the Add To Favorites icon present on each Ray and Raylist. By tapping Favorites on Home you can access your most loved content whenever you want. Soon you will be able to organize collections of Rays and Raylists and share them with friends and family :-)

Sleep Mode: You can turn on Sleep Mode, a convenient feature that turns down your Presence for the night and then turns it on for the morning. Just set the Go To Sleep and Wake Up times. On Home, tap Settings in the top right, tap Manage Displays, tap your Display, tap Brightness and then you will see the Sleep Mode Module.

Multi-Device Experience: You can connect up to five Displays to one account to create a Sonos-like experience around your home. Buddha in the bedroom, Stoicism in the bathroom and some Maya Angelou in the living room sounds pretty awesome!

Personality: Choose your Personality upon onboarding or update it later within Settings. Your Personality guides the content recommendations you receive.

Inspirers: Each author of a quote, designer of a Ray, and curator of a Raylist is called an Inspirer. By tapping on their card you can experience their profile highlighting their Rays and Raylists as well as their additional channels from social to their store. We want to celebrate the people who inspire us and help you learn more about them.

View Ray In-App: If you’re not by your Display and still want to view your Rays you can always tap the Presence Emblem on the bottom tab bar of the Now Raying screen to view the inspiration on your phone.

Automatic OTA: Your Inspiration Display will receive automatic Over The Air updates weekly to continuously improve your experience.

Personalize: We designed the experience so when you favorite Rays and Raylists, and thumbs up or thumbs down a Ray, Presence will get to know you better and better and start to show you more curated content.

Yes! That is a light sensor, and not a camera, that detects the light in your environment and adjusts the brightness of the display for optimal viewing.

To begin the Presence experience, simply press play on a Raylist that catches you eye or is something you’re interested in. You can find Raylists to play within the Home (left tab) and Search (right tab) within the Presence App. Tap the Raylist card to learn more about the Raylist and the people involved and press play on the blue and white play button to start streaming Rays to your Inspiration Display.
